So this post isn't really a post, instead it's more like a "get to know me!" section I suppose! So here goes!
Hi! I'm Jessica, but you are more than welcome to call me both Jess and Jessi! I'm 19 years old, and a freshman in college. (ugh, this sounds so boring right now!) I just recently re-found blogging, and after a series of unfortunate events leading up to me not being able to get on my other blog, I've re-started my attempts at having a cool and hip hobby. This is probably good for me, even though I feel like no one reads these things anyways! But my sister encouraged me to keep writing even if no one reads it, so that is what I'll do. But I'd really like for SOMEone to read it at least. I don't have that many hobbies, as being in college leaves you with a little less free time than past years. But probably my first and favorite hobby is actually two in one, which is reading and writing. I have this little problem where if I start a book then I get lost in it and forget about everything else I'm supposed to be doing! Right on reading's heels is writing which I only like doing when I have the time to sit down and actually write what I want to write, not what I'm being graded on. I tend to have really impersonal writings when I have to turn them in for a grade!
I guess my second best hobby that I have is traveling. I'm not a world traveler mind you. Just a meek and mild traveler within my own country. I've been to a bunch of states, but I would have to say (ignoring all the hype of this state and actually just seeing it for what it is-an amazing and historically soaked state!) that California is my all time favorite vacay spot in America. I love the dryness of the heat, as well as seeing the huge mountains in the background! I am a little confined in my adoration of California, because I've really been only to a certain part, near Sacramento. But it's gorgeous out there! My all time dream for my life is to travel to all sorts of places, scoping out all the popular (and also some of the little known local) hangouts as well as the cultures that live there and then write about what life is like in that area. But I don't know what that job is technically though.
Thirdly, and as nerdy as it may seem, I really REALLY like going to school. Not high school though, as I can hardly even say high school without shivering at the horrible memories. No, I'm talking about actual school. College! I love the stress of it, even though I'll never admit it at the time!I love the fact that the profs actually invest in our lives, and are more than willing to meet with us and help shape us into who we will be. I often feel like I was born more for the age I am right now. A lot of people say that high school is the best years, but for me it'd definitely be college.
Does anyone actually READ these??! Am I just aiding in the advancement of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome in doing this?
Keep blogging, Jess. I've enjoyed everything you've written so far. You have a great ability to clearly articulate your thoughts. I look forward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Matt! I will read and I'll share your blog on MY blog...maybe it will inspire me to do my at-least-once-a-week post! Love you!
